Remote Accounting Manager Job DescriptionThis is a high-growth leadership role that involves managing full-cycle accounting for U.S. clients, overseeing tax filings, running payroll, supporting entity setup, and creating scalable systems to support the company's expansion.Key Responsibilities:Build the accounting department from the ground up, including future hiring and training.Develop scalable workflows, systems, and SOPs.Introduce automation tools and process improvements to increase efficiency.Provide leadership, mentorship, and performance guidance as the team expands.Play a key strategic role in the company's rapid growth and operational infrastructure.Accounting Tasks:Oversee daily and monthly accounting operations for multiple U.S. entities.Manage general ledger, reconciliations, month-end close, accruals, and reporting.Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.Establish internal controls to ensure accuracy and compliance.Tax Preparation & Compliance:Prepare and file federal and state tax returns (1040, 1120, 1120-S, 1065).Prepare K-1s, including for foreign partners.Handle quarterly estimated taxes and compliance calendars.File payroll taxes, W-2s, 941/940, 1099-NEC, and 1096 forms.Review and respond to IRS or state notices when needed.Ensure IRS and GAAP compliance in all accounting work.Entity Setup & Advisory:Support clients with LLC, S-Corp, C-Corp, and Partnership setup.Apply for TIN for foreign owners.Assist with EIN registration, S-Corp elections, state filings, and compliance.Advise clients on best entity structures based on tax and operational needs.Assist with foreign-owned U.S. entity obligations and withholding requirements.Client Management:Serve as the main point of contact for accounting and tax matters.Present clear financial insights, recommendations, and analysis.Manage deadlines and deliverables across multiple clients.Build long-term client relationships based on trust and expertise.Qualifications:5+ years of U.S. accounting and tax filing experience.Strong experience with corporate and partnership returns (1120, 1120-S, 1065, K-1s).Hands-on experience preparing filings for 1099s, W-2s, payroll taxes, and foreign partner structures.Proficiency with QuickBooks, Xero, and payroll platforms.Demonstrated ability to create systems or processes from scratch.Strong communication and leadership skills.Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.High sense of ownership and accountability.
