Director / Head – Industry–Academia Collaborations & CSR Initiatives (University Industry Interaction Cell – UIIC) Department: University Industry Interaction & CSR Cell Reports To: Vice Chancellor Location: REVA University, Bengaluru, Karnataka 1. Strategic Industry–Academia Collaborations Develop and execute strategic partnerships and MOUs with industries, corporates, PSUs, and professional associations across Karnataka, India, and abroad, in alignment with UGC and AICTE collaboration guidelines . Monitor and evaluate outcomes of all partnerships undertaken through MOU's. 2. CSR Partnership Development & Funding Mobilization Identify and engage corporates, PSUs, and foundations for CSR-funded projects in education, skilling, innovation, sustainability, and community development, as per Schedule VII of the Companies Act, 2013 . Ensure statutory compliance for CSR proposals and funding utilization , while representing the university as a recognized knowledge partner. 3. Academia–Industry Engagement & Skill Integration Facilitate industry conclaves, leadership talks, hackathons, and live projects to foster experiential learning and strengthen industry engagement in academic programs . Collaborate with academic departments to design and deliver industry-integrated certification programs, executive education, and Skill Development Certification (SDC) initiatives aligned with NSDC and Skill India frameworks to enhance employability. Introduce and promote Industry-certified programs , short-term and add-on courses, and specialized upskilling modules to bridge academic learning with evolving industry skill demands. 4. Institutional Representation & Strategic Networking Represent the university in state, national, and international forums (CII, FKCCI, ASSOCHAM, BCIC) and build partnerships with KSCST, MSME, NITI Aayog, and SDEL–Karnataka for joint initiatives. Strengthening global and alumni networks by engaging multinational industries, entrepreneurs, and business leaders as mentors, collaborators, and CSR partners. 5. Reporting, Documentation & Regulatory Compliance Prepare quarterly and annual reports on industry collaborations, CSR outcomes, and innovation impact for NAAC, NIRF, and UGC documentation . Key Skills & Competencies Strong expertise in Industry–Academia partnership models, CSR project design, and grant mobilization. In-depth understanding of UGC/AICTE/NAAC/NIRF guidelines related to innovation, employability, and extension activities. Proven record of CSR funding acquisition and compliance under the Companies Act, 2013 . Excellent stakeholder management, proposal writing, and negotiation skills. Strong leadership, documentation, and data-driven reporting abilities. Qualification & Experience Postgraduate degree in Management, Engineering, Sciences, or allied disciplines (PhD preferred). 10–15 years of progressive experience in Industry–Academia collaborations, CSR partnership development, corporate relations, or higher education outreach. Demonstrated experience in executing MOUs, mobilizing CSR funds, and leading multi-stakeholder educational initiatives.
