Oracle Exadata Engineer Job DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled Oracle Exadata Engineer to join our team.Job SummaryThe successful candidate will design, deploy, and maintain Exadata infrastructure in enterprise environments. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to work with cutting-edge technology and be part of a dynamic team.This role is ideal for those who enjoy problem-solving, working collaboratively, and staying up-to-date with the latest technological advancements.Key Responsibilities:Design and Deploy Exadata Infrastructure: Lead the deployment of new Exadata systems, including farm design and capacity planning.Prepare Installation Artifacts: Prepare and manage installation artifacts such as CPFs (Change Tickets) and OEDA configurations.Finalize System Configuration: Finalize system hostnames and IP addresses following network allocation.Update DNS Entries: Update DNS entries for all Exadata components and spine/leaf switches.Manage Oracle Service Requests: Open Oracle Service Requests (SRs) and upload OEDA/OECA documentation.Run CheckIP Scripts: Run CheckIP scripts and upload results to Oracle SRs.Create CRs/CPFs: Create CRs/CPFs for site teams to install spine switches.Coordinate with Oracle: Coordinate with Oracle to configure spine switches.Submit RITMs: Submit RITMs for multiracking activities.Create CRs: Create CRs for Oracle to perform EIS/1ENG (one per day).Create RITMs: Create RITMs for site teams to install Oracle/Cisco management switches.Execute OneCommand: Execute OneCommand to build the Exadata database environment.Run Ansible Automation: Run Ansible automation to configure Exadata components.Onboard Components: Onboard components into ASR (Auto Service Request), CMS, and OEM (Oracle Enterprise Manager).Perform Health Checks: Run Exacheck and upload output to Oracle SRs.LTS Checks: Perform LTS (Long-Term Support) checks.Document Activities: Ensure all required documentation and health checks are completed prior to handoff.Manage Issues: Create and manage SRs, CRs, and RITMs for issues or break/fix activities.Collect Diagnostic Data: Collect diagnostic data for Oracle SRs across hardware, OS, and database layers.Follow Up on Active SRs: Conduct continuous follow-up on active SRs to ensure timely resolution.Maintenance Windows: Coordinate maintenance windows and downtime with Oracle and DBA teams.OEM Monitoring: Add newly built Exadata systems to OEM monitoring.
