Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Database Administrator to lead our database team in the design, development and implementation of database systems.This role will involve collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to develop and implement data persistence strategies that support business objectives and data-driven initiatives.Design, develop and implement database systems that meet business requirements and adhere to industry best practices.Optimize database performance through tuning, indexing and other techniques to ensure efficient data access and system response times.Implement and maintain data security measures, including access controls and regular security audits.Develop and maintain database backup and disaster recovery plans to ensure the availability and integrity of our data assets.Monitor database systems for performance issues and proactively identify and resolve problems to minimize downtime and maintain system reliability.Collaborate with data engineers, data scientists and software developers to integrate database solutions with data pipelines, analytics platforms and software applications.Mentor junior database administrators and provide technical guidance to foster a culture of learning and collaboration within the team.Stay current on emerging database technologies, trends and best practices to identify opportunities for their application within our data infrastructure.
