Job DescriptionThe primary role of a KYC Analyst is to implement and maintain a robust Know Your Customer process that aligns with Group and regulatory requirements. This involves collecting client documents, conducting due diligence checks, and escalating issues according to established policies.The KYC Operations team is spread across various onshore hubs worldwide, including Japan, the Americas, EMEA, Singapore, and Hong Kong. As a KYC Analyst, you will be responsible for centralized KYC production and validation of clients during both onboarding and periodic information updates. Your key task will be to standardize KYC procedures across countries within the Group.This role operates under an ongoing transformation where new policies, processes, and technologies are being implemented. Key responsibilities include:Creating high-quality KYC profiles in line with latest policies and proceduresObtaining and updating missing client documentation from clients (with assistance from Relationship Managers)Following up on client profiles (in accordance with the latest escalation matrix) and ensuring all signoff levels comply with the latest ID matrixSending profiles for audit (after receiving all required information) within specified timelinesInteracting with Compliance, Sanctions, and Relationship Managers as necessary, particularly regarding matters involving profile escalation or agingKey skills required include a thorough understanding of KYC, the financial regulatory environment, global banking regulations, and AML risk implications. You should possess knowledge of legal structures for various client types, proven analytical skills for assessing mergers and acquisitions' impact on legal identities and ownership structures of Corporate, FIs, and Funds. Experience with AML/KYC tools such as SWIFT KYC Registry, Factiva, Bankers Almanac, RDC, Internet Research, Fenergo, etc., is highly desirable.The ideal candidate will have sound knowledge of financial regulatory requirements, the ability to interpret complex changes in regulatory guidelines, assess their impact, and work accurately under pressure. Additionally, you should be proactive and able to think critically from multiple angles.
