Job OpportunitySenior Accountant Role OverviewThis senior accountant position offers an exciting opportunity to build a high-growth accounting department from scratch. You will be responsible for managing full-cycle accounting operations, including financial statement preparation, tax compliance, and payroll management.The ideal candidate should have at least 5 years of experience in US accounting and tax filing. They must possess strong leadership skills, the ability to work independently, and excellent communication skills.Key ResponsibilitiesManage daily and monthly accounting operations, including general ledger maintenance, reconciliations, and month-end close.Prepare accurate financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.Oversee tax compliance, including preparing and filing federal and state tax returns, as well as handling quarterly estimated taxes and compliance calendars.Process payroll using systems like QuickBooks Payroll or Gusto.Support clients with entity setup, including LLC, S-Corp, C-Corp, and Partnership.Develop scalable workflows, systems, and SOPs to improve efficiency.Build long-term client relationships based on trust and expertise.Required Skills and Qualifications5+ years of experience in US accounting and tax filing.Strong experience with corporate and partnership returns (1120, 1120-S, 1065, K-1s).Hands-on experience preparing filings for 1099s, W-2s, payroll taxes, and foreign partner structures.Proficiency with QuickBooks, Xero, and payroll platforms.Demonstrated ability to create systems or processes from scratch.Strong communication and leadership skills.Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.BenefitsAs a senior accountant at our organization, you can expect:Fully remote work-from-home role.Major growth potential – opportunity to become Director or Head of Accounting.Direct involvement in building processes, systems, and a full team.High autonomy with real decision-making authority.Supportive culture that rewards ownership, initiative, and problem-solving.Are you ready to take your career to the next level?
