Role Overview: We are seeking a dedicated Billing and payment specialist responsible for managing payment collections, invoicing, and client communication. The ideal candidate should have strong written and verbal communication skills and experience in billing or collections. This role requires strong communication and negotiation skills, especially when addressing client billing queries and negotiating payment terms.


Responsibilities:

  • Manage payment collections from clients via email, calls, and other communication channels.
  • Notify customers of overdue payments and conduct follow-ups.
  • Negotiate billing terms and payment plans with clients as needed to ensure timely collections.
  • Provide excellent customer service to address billing inquiries and concerns via email and phone.
  • Maintain accurate records of billing and collections activities.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to gather necessary billing information to ensure proper invoicing and payment processing.
  • Maintain confidentiality of financial data and client information.
  • Stay updated on best practices in billing and collections.


Requirements: 

  • 1-4 years of experience in billing, collections, customer service, or related roles.
  • Bachelor’s degree in any stream.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent time management and task prioritization.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.


Good to have: 

  • Prior experience with a billing software. 
  • Has worked at a growth stage startup. 
  • Previous experience in a customer-facing role.
