Job Title: Mortgage Underwriting Team LeadAbout the Position:We are seeking an experienced senior underwriter to lead a group of associates in the mortgage underwriting area, ensuring that all key performance indicators are met.Key Responsibilities:Supervise and lead a team of underwriters to meet all production targets relative to any and all functions in the Mortgage underwriting area.Maintain regular production reports, provide insights on trends and areas for improvement.Coordinate activities of the department with the manager to include workflow management, process optimization, training, reporting and special projects.Develop and implement strategies to enhance operational efficiency, drive productivity and improve customer satisfaction.Collaborate with other internal support teams to ensure seamless production by the operations team.Provide expert guidance and support to resolve complex queries and complaints from external and internal customers.Lead, coach, motivate and develop associates to deliver high-quality underwriting services to clients, achieving or exceeding set operational targets.Monitor and evaluate staff performance, attendance, generate reports as necessary.Required Skills and Qualifications:To succeed in this role, you will need to have a strong background in underwriting, excellent leadership and communication skills, ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and experience in managing teams and processes.Benefits:This is a challenging yet rewarding role that offers opportunities for career growth and development.
