Job Title: Supplier Quality Development SpecialistThe ideal candidate will contribute to the creation and implementation of best practice quality vision, strategy, policies, processes, and procedures to improve operational performance in accordance with internal quality processes.This position is responsible for leading APQP activities for assigned suppliers/commodities, including feasibility studies, technical discussions with suppliers, FMEA and control plan evaluations, measurement alignment, inspection planning, and process capability studies.The successful candidate will have a solid understanding of APQP, FMEA, SPC, MSA, FPY, SLC, and PPAP, as well as experience in supplier development, quality processes, and statistical tools.In addition to technical skills, the ideal candidate will possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.The role requires a minimum of 8-10 years of experience in a similar position, with a degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.The successful candidate will be based in Hosur, India, and will work on a full-time basis. The job level is senior, and the ideal candidate will be able to lead and manage teams effectively.Key Responsibilities:Develop and establish robust processes at suppliers to sustainably improve supplier competitiveness and the competitiveness of the organization.Support the global/regional/local Purchasing team, the Purchasing BUs, the Engineering Centres (TEC), and the plants (GPC, RSC) in terms of supplier development and the quality of externally purchased parts.Audit vendors/suppliers on purchase components on a periodic basis for sustained quality performance and compliance to defined standards.Manage the Supplier Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).Evaluate supplier quality data to identify process improvement opportunities within the supply chain.Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure optimal performance.Required Skills and Qualifications:Diploma or B.E. Mechanical Engineering with preferred experience in areas such as injection moulding, investment casting, HPDC, machining, rubber parts, standard parts, and electromechanical parts.Sound knowledge in Metrology, Six sigma processes & tools.In-depth experience as a lead auditor in Quality & Environment audits.Quality processes, methods, and Statistical Quality tools knowledge.IT Skills: SAP-QM Module, MS Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Project.Benefits:The successful candidate will enjoy a challenging and rewarding career opportunity with a dynamic organization.
