The Student Legal and Compliance Manager plays a pivotal role in safeguarding the institution's student-related policies, procedures, and operations from non-compliance with relevant laws, regulations, accreditation standards, and internal governance principles.This critical position involves strategic management of student conduct matters, regulatory reporting, contract reviews, data protection, complaints resolution, and risk mitigation strategies that foster a secure, equitable, and legally compliant student environment.Key Responsibilities:Compliance Governance: Monitor and interpret pertinent laws, regulations, and accreditation standards affecting student operations; develop, update, and implement student compliance policies and guidelines;Student Legal Services: Provide expert legal guidance on student contracts, enrollment agreements, waivers, and disciplinary procedures to ensure alignment with relevant laws and regulations;Student Conduct & Case Management: Oversee the student conduct process, including investigations, hearings, sanctions, and reporting to ensure fairness and transparency;Regulatory Reporting & Documentation: Prepare required compliance and regulatory reports for government agencies, accreditation bodies, and internal stakeholders to maintain transparency and accountability;Policy Development & Governance: Draft, review, and update student policies, codes of conduct, and compliance manuals to ensure they are current, accurate, and effective;Risk Mitigation & Advisory: Identify potential compliance risks and recommend mitigation strategies to minimize exposure and ensure regulatory compliance;Qualifications & Experience:Bachelor’s degree in Law, Compliance, Public Policy, or related field to provide a solid foundation in compliance principles and regulations;15 years of experience in legal, compliance, or student affairs roles to demonstrate expertise and understanding of compliance complexities;Experience within higher education, training organizations, or regulatory agencies is an advantage due to familiarity with relevant laws and regulations;Skills & Competencies:Strong knowledge of education laws, compliance standards, and regulatory frameworks to stay up-to-date with changing regulations;Excellent analytical, investigative, and problem-solving skills to navigate complex compliance issues;Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey complex information to various stakeholders;Ability to interpret legal documents and produce clear policy guidance to support informed decision-making;
