Objectives of this role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Storage Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have 6-10 years of hands-on experience in designing, implementing, and managing enterprise storage solutions. As a Storage Engineer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining storage systems that meet the performance, scalability, and reliability needs of our clients. Primary responsibility includes storage administration, provisioning, troubleshooting, and ensuring the availability, performance, and security of storage systems in collaboration with other storage team members.

Responsibilities

  • Perform Storage administration tasks like capacity planning, reporting, forecasting, debugging.
  • Monitoring the client storage estate, use automation tools to automate repetitive tasks are also part of your responsibilities.
  • Proactively monitor storage infrastructure health and performance using monitoring tools and diagnostic utilities. Troubleshoot and resolve storage-related issues, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure timely resolution.
  • Monitor and optimize storage performance to meet service level agreements (SLAs) and ensure maximum efficiency. Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks through capacity planning, tuning, and optimization techniques.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of storage configurations, procedures, and best practices. Share knowledge and expertise with team members through training sessions, technical presentations, and documentation reviews.
  • Collaborate with vendors and third-party service providers to evaluate new technologies, troubleshoot issues, and procure hardware and software components as needed. Manage vendor relationships and contracts to ensure quality of service and cost-effectiveness.
  • Responsible for supporting critical incidents related to storage infrastructure and create SOPs.
  • Perform Root Cause Analysis on storage issues.
  • Provide recommendations to improve the storage and related infrastructure, address/lead critical issues and analysis.
