About the Role: As a Senior Systems Operations Engineer, you will play a pivotal part in overseeing and optimizing a global 24x7 production infrastructure. This entails ensuring reliability, scalability, and security across multi-site environments, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and driving automation and performance enhancements.Manage an international 24x7, multi-site production infrastructure powering critical services, including deployment, maintenance, troubleshooting, performance tuning, and security.Analyze and resolve complex issues involving multiple stakeholders, networks, hardware, and software related to scaling and performance.Evaluate and ensure proper monitoring, alerting, capacity planning, and reporting in the production environment.Key ResponsibilitiesFoster effective partnerships across the organization to promote collaboration between Product, Engineering, and Operations teams.Contribute to the evolving design and architecture of reliable and scalable infrastructure.Act as the first line of defense during working hours in case of alerts or incidents.Collaborate with product engineering teams to ensure operational standards are maintained, assess resource impacts for upcoming product deployments, and ensure successful product rollouts.Participate in an on-call rotation and be prepared to address escalated issues as needed.Essential QualificationsDemonstrable expertise and at least 5 years of experience managing, troubleshooting, and tuning Linux systems.A friendly and collaborative demeanor, with excellent communication skills.Experience automating system management using Perl, Python, or Ruby.Knowledge of industry-standard foundation technologies such as TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS, SMTP, and LDAP.
