Job Description

Position: Jr. Engineer / Engineer / Sr. Engineer – Production

Location: Shirwal (Near Pune)

Department: Production


Role Summary

The role involves CNC machine setup, programming, and shop floor supervision to ensure smooth production operations.


Qualifications

  • Education: Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (DME) or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (BE).
  • Experience: 10–12 years or more.
  • Preferred Industry: Manufacturing or Engineering.

Key Responsibilities

Machine Programming & Setup:

  • Perform programming and setup for CNC Lathe, VMC, and HMC machines across various controllers (Fanuc, Siemens, Mazak, Hass, DMG Celios, Fagor).

Shop Floor Supervision:

  • Solve shop floor issues and supervise shift utilization.
  • Monitor and optimize setup times to improve productivity.
  • Ensure accurate and timely data entry for maintenance and production activities (Mapex, Axapta systems).

Training & Documentation:

  • Train operators on CNC machine operations and data entry systems.
  • Maintain and update ISO documentation.

Maintenance:

  • Monitor and execute predictive and routine maintenance schedules for CNC machines.
  • Maintain records of tool life history and ensure all equipment is in working condition.


Key Skills & Competencies

  • Advanced knowledge of CNC programming and controllers (Fanuc, Siemens, Mazak, etc.).
  • Proficiency in operating CNC Lathe, VMC, and HMC machines.
  • Expertise in industrial processes, quality instruments, and measurements.
  • Problem-solving skills for CNC-related issues.
  • Familiarity with daily maintenance activities and ISO documentation.


Role-Specific Authorities

  • Ensure proper CNC machine settings for production as per schedules.
  • Maintain and monitor utility tools and equipment.
  • Enforce predictive maintenance schedules.
