About the RoleImprove our product quality by ensuring thorough and reliable testing across various platforms.Test new features in web applications and mobile apps to guarantee seamless user experiences.Develop comprehensive test plans and execute them using a structured approach.Identify, document, and track bugs throughout their resolution.Perform regression testing for releases and hotfixes to maintain stability.Validate user workflows, data gathering, and quality reports to optimize performance.Ensure cross-browser and responsive design compatibility to reach a broader audience.Verify data integrity across workflows to prevent errors.Automated Testing ExpertiseSet up test automation frameworks from scratch or enhance existing ones to streamline processes.Configure and maintain test environments independently to ensure reliability.Play an active role in CI/CD test pipeline integration to accelerate deployment.Maintain and expand existing automated test suites to increase efficiency.Write integration tests using Cucumber/Capybara to ensure seamless interactions.Develop API test automation for REST endpoints to guarantee data consistency.Establish effective test data management strategies to minimize errors.Production Quality AssuranceMonitor production issues via support channels to address customer concerns promptly.Reproduce and verify customer-reported issues to resolve them efficiently.Participate in release planning and go/no-go decisions to ensure smooth deployments.Perform production smoke tests post-deployment to validate stability.Support urgent production fixes with rapid testing to minimize downtime.Collaboration & DocumentationWork closely with engineers in Agile sprints to foster teamwork and communication.Participate in sprint planning and story estimation to prioritize tasks effectively.Review requirements and identify testing risks early to mitigate potential issues.Create test documentation and maintain a test wiki to facilitate knowledge sharing.Train support teams on new features and known issues to enhance support capabilities.Provide testing insights during retrospectives to drive improvement.The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented tester who has successfully set up test automation frameworks from scratch. They should understand the balance between thorough testing and timely shipping, think like both a developer and an end user, and possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
