Biocon Biologics, a global leader in biopharmaceuticals, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development for Advanced Markets. Will play a crucial role in expanding Biocon Biologics' presence in advanced markets by identifying new business opportunities, establishing strategic partnerships, and driving revenue growth. Responsibilities : Market Analysis: Conduct in-depth market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, competitive landscapes, and potential growth opportunities in advanced markets. Business Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy for advanced markets that aligns with the company's overall objectives and growth targets. Partnership Development: Identify and establish strategic partnerships, collaborations, and alliances with key stakeholders, including pharmaceutical companies, distributors, healthcare providers, and government agencies. Licensing and M&A: Evaluate and negotiate licensing agreements, acquisitions, and strategic investments to expand Biocon Biologics' product portfolio and market presence. Sales and Revenue Growth: Drive revenue growth by identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, including product licensing, distribution agreements, and commercialization partnerships. Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential partners, customers, and key opinion leaders in the advanced markets. Regulatory Compliance: Stay updated on regulatory requirements and ensure that all business development activities comply with relevant regulations and quality standards. Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with internal departments, including R&D, manufacturing, legal, and regulatory affairs, to ensure successful execution of business development initiatives. Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of business development professionals, providing guidance and support to achieve departmental goals. Financial Analysis: Conduct financial assessments, including forecasting, budgeting, and ROI analysis, to evaluate the feasibility and profitability of potential business opportunities. Reporting: Prepare regular reports and presentations for senior management and stakeholders to update them on business development progress and results. Behavioural / Management / Other Skills: Ability to make decisions, appropriately balancing risks versus impact. Strong leadership skills, able to get the buy-in of multiple stakeholders. Ability to work under pressure and cope with multiple priorities. Ability to drive change throughout an organization, overcoming resistance and barriers. Outstanding communication of information and ideas, both written and verbal, to diverse audiences. Background & Experience Required Education: A bachelor's degree in life sciences, business, or a related field is required. An MBA or advanced degree is preferred. Experience: A minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in business development within the biopharmaceutical or healthcare industry, with a track record of successful deal-making and revenue generation. Market Knowledge: Strong understanding of the advanced markets in the biopharmaceutical sector, including market dynamics, regulatory requirements, and key players. Leadership: Proven leadership experience, with the ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams. Negotiation Skills: Exceptional negotiation and communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to close complex deals. Strategic Thinker: A strategic thinker who can develop and execute a clear and actionable business development plan. Results-Driven: A results-oriented mindset with a focus on achieving revenue and growth targets. Global Perspective: Experience working in a global context and an understanding of international business dynamics. Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and financial modelling skills. Travel: Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.
