ROLE DESCRIPTION:

You will be a part of the Customer Communication Team (Virtual Assist), which develops and manages mission critical applications responsible for inbound customer communication and help them with their journey and provide better traveling experience. The Senior SDET is required to have strong manual and automation testing background on AWS Serverless architecture as well as on containers.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• As a Senior SDET, you will be responsible for testing a suite of products deployed on AWS Serverless environment as well as on containers.
• Write automation for regression and end to end testing the code.
• Build testing pipelines for executing the automation on AWS environments.
• Understand the airlines business and how IT powers the Airlines domain.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED (MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS):

• 5+ years of experience in Information Technology with expertise in test automation of applications from API layer (UI is an added advantage).
• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using various testing frameworks and tools (e.g., Rest Assured, Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, BDD Framework, Data Driven Framework).
• Hands on experience of programming concept such as OOPs in scripting languages like Java, Python and JavaScript, Springboot.
• Experience with API and Microservices testing and automation
• Hands on experience with one or more querying languages such SQL (preferred), Oracle, MySQL and/or No SQL databases (Dynamo, MongoDB etch).
• Hands on experience in automating backend REST services including writing custom functions using tools such as Postman, REST Assured, Cucumber, Karate, Cypresses,
• Hands on experience of building test automation framework from ground up using modular framework and design pattern like Page Object Model design pattern (POM) etc.
• Hands on experience designing and writing component level test cases for AWS components such as (Lambda, Event Bridge, Step Functions, etc.)
• Experience of working in distributed agile teams using agile frameworks such as SCRUM, Safe, XP etc.
• Hands on experience testing Generative AI solution is a strong advantage.
• Hands on experience of working with continues integration tools such AWS CDK, Gitlab runner, etc.
• Able to independently create and maintain automation test jobs.
• Work with defect tracking tools (e.g., VersionOne, Jira, Bugzilla) to log and track defects and good understanding in Defect Life Cyle Model
• Work with Test case Management tool (e.g,. Test, Xray, TestRail) for Design and Execution of Test cases
• Hands on experience working with source code management tools such as GitLab, GitHub, Gitlab Runner, AWS Code Commit etc.
• Hands on experience of creating test reports from automation test run using tools such as cucumber report, Extent report etc.
• Good to have Experience with the core AWS services like Lambdas, S3, SQS, SES, SNS, EC2, Code Pipeline, DynamoDB, RDS. Understanding of core AWS services and apply best practices regarding security and scalability.
• Ability to quickly adapt to new tools and evolving technologies.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.

WHAT WILL GIVE YOU A COMPETITIVE EDGE (PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS):

• Experience of working with various AWS cloud services such as Lambda, Event Bridge, Step Function, s3 bucket, AWS code pipeline, CloudFormation, Elastic bean etc.
• Hands on experience of virtualizing services for test automation using tools such as Wire Mock, Mockito etc.
• Understanding of Generative AI
• Generative AI solutions testing and automation.
• Experience of working with container orchestration tools such as docker, RED Hat OpenShift, AWS CloudFormation.
• Experience of non-functional testing such as performance, load, stress, security, accessibility and usability testing.
