Position: Works Manager

Department: Service

Location: Nashik / Nagpur

Reports to: General Manager – Service

Role Overview

The Works Manager will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the service workshop, ensuring high-quality repairs, timely vehicle delivery, customer satisfaction, and compliance with Maruti Suzuki service standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Workshop Operations
    • Plan, organize, and control the overall service operations.
    • Allocate jobs to technicians and monitor progress to ensure timely delivery.
    • Ensure availability of required tools, equipment, and infrastructure for smooth operations.
      • Quality & Productivity
        • Ensure adherence to Maruti Suzuki service quality standards.
        • Monitor and improve workshop productivity and efficiency.
        • Conduct regular quality checks on completed jobs before delivery.
          • Customer Satisfaction
            • Handle escalated customer complaints and provide quick resolutions.
            • Maintain high CSI (Customer Satisfaction Index) scores.
            • Ensure transparent communication with customers regarding repairs and costs.
              • Team Management
                • Lead, train, and motivate service advisors, technicians, and support staff.
                • Conduct regular performance reviews and technical training sessions.
                  • Reporting & Compliance
                    • Maintain and share daily, weekly, and monthly service performance reports.
                    • Ensure compliance with Maruti Suzuki policies, processes, and statutory regulations.

Key Skills & Competencies

  • Strong technical knowledge of Maruti Suzuki vehicles and systems.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to handle high-pressure situations and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of DMS (Dealer Management System) and MS Office.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Diploma / Degree in Automobile or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum 5–8 years of experience in an automobile dealership service department, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
  • Prior Maruti Suzuki experience preferred.
