Job Summary:We are seeking a seasoned Design for Testability (DFT) Engineer to ensure the testability and manufacturability of complex ASICs and SoCs.This position requires a strong understanding of DFT methodologies and the ability to implement and optimize comprehensive DFT strategies.Main Responsibilities:Collaborate with design and verification engineers to integrate DFT techniques throughout the design flowDevelop and implement DFT strategies including scan insertion, ATPG, and Boundary Scan (JTAG) insertionUtilize advanced DFT tools to achieve high test coverage and fault detection ratesAnalyze test results to identify potential design issues and recommend corrective actionsDevelop and maintain DFT test plans and reports ensuring adherence to industry standardsParticipate in design reviews and provide expert guidance on DFT feasibility and optimizationStay current with the latest advancements in DFT tools and methodologiesQualifications:Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science6-20 years of experience in Design for Testability for ASICs or SoCsIn-depth knowledge of DFT concepts including scan insertion, ATPG, BSCAN, fault modeling, and test coverage analysisProven ability to implement and optimize comprehensive DFT strategiesExpertise in industry-standard DFT tools Synopsys DFT Compiler, TetraMAX, etc.Experience with scripting languages Perl, TCL for automation is a plusStrong understanding of digital design principles combinatorial logic, sequential logicExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on achieving high test qualityEffective communication collaboration teamwork skills
