Roles and responsibilities:

  • Develop strategic buying plans and policies to optimize procurement processes.

  • Negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure favorable terms and pricing.

  • Collaborate with internal departments to align buying activities with organizational objectives.
  • Implement cost-saving initiatives and drive efficiency in the buying process.
  • Evaluate vendor capabilities and maintain relationships to support long-term partnerships.


Qualifications:

  • 10 to 15 Years in apparel Buying and Product experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field, NIFT preferred.
  • Professional certification in Procurement or Supply Chain (e.g., CSCP, CPSM) preferred.
  • Strong negotiation skills and proven experience in vendor management.
  • Excellent analytical abilities and decision-making capabilities.
  • Effective communication and leadership skills to manage a buying team successfully.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of sourcing strategies and industry best practices.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and tools for data analysis and reporting.
