Job Title: MerchandiserLocation: ZAVYA, GURGAONTravel Requirement: Open to TravelExperience: 1-5 yearsCTC: 8-12 LPAJob Summary:We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Merchandiser with strong communication and negotiation skills to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a background in the fashion & lifestyle industry. Hands-on experience in coordinating with multiple vendors, production follow-ups, and product development. Proficiency in Excel & Google Sheets is essential. The role demands adaptability, a learning mindset, and a willingness to travel as required.Key Responsibilities:Vendor Management & NegotiationIdentify, evaluate, and manage vendor relationships.Negotiate pricing, lead times, and payment termsEnsure vendor compliance with quality, timelines, and specificationsProduct Development & SamplingWork closely with design and production teams for sampling & prototypingTrack sample development and communicate feedback for revisionsMaintain accurate sample records and approvalsProduction Follow-upsOversee production timelines and ensure timely deliveriesCoordinate with vendors for order execution, quality checks, and dispatchesTroubleshoot delays or issues proactivelyData Management & ReportingMaintain detailed trackers in Excel/Google Sheets (including advanced formulas)Generate reports on vendor performance, costing, order status, etc.Analyze data for cost savings and process improvementsCommunication & CoordinationAct as the point of contact between internal teams (design, QC, logistics) and vendorsCommunicate clearly and professionally in written and verbal formatsSchedule and document meetings, calls, and follow-ups effectivelyTravel & Market ResearchWillingness to travel for vendor visits, production checks, trade shows, etc.Stay updated with industry trends and materialsRequirements:Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Merchandising, Business, or a related field1-5 years of experience in merchandisingProven experience in vendor handling, production follow-ups, and samplingStrong command over MS Excel and Google Sheets (including VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, etc.)Excellent negotiation and communication skillsHighly organized, self-motivated, and adaptableComfortable with frequent travelAbility to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environmentNOTE: Please fill the attached google form *(mandatory)LINK: https://forms.gle/98SXaBN9ecF3A9zr8
