Build strong relationships with retailers and cross-functional teams while leveraging market insights to improve sales and brand presence. WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR? Looking for a trade marketing professional with 3–5 years of FMCG experience, skilled in sales, merchandising, BTL activities, and managing teams of merchandisers and promoters. The role involves travel and coordinating with distributors, retailers, and sales teams, leveraging market intelligence, and driving brand visibility. Experience in Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh markets, along with Tamil and Telugu language skills, is a plus. RESPONSIBILITIES: Promotional strategy, execution and product placement Execute promotional strategies and campaigns to drive customer engagement and increase sales. Maintain and enhance visibility, shelf space, and POS (Point of Sale) materials in key outlets. Implement and track trade marketing initiatives to improve product placement and brand presence. Monitor sell-out data, sales trends, and consumer insights to recommend improvements in merchandising strategies. Assist in the planning and execution of new product launches within the retail channel. Knowledge of the retail landscape: Familiarity with the retail environment and the dynamics of retail marketing. Collaboration and Relationship building: Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as marketing, sales etc to ensure effective merchandise planning and execution. Develop and maintain relationships with retailers, wholesalers, and channel partners Understanding the market trend and analysis: Stay updated with industry trends, market dynamics, and consumer behavior to make informed decisions and adapt merchandise strategies accordingly. Conduct market visits to assess execution quality and competitor activities SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS Should be currently working in the market – 3 -5 years’ experience (FMCG) Background in sales and marketing, trade marketing, and merchandising are all preferred Experience in BTL activities Proven record of managing merchandisers and promoters Experience in managing and coordinating with distributors, retailers, and sales teams. Proficiency in tracking market intelligence and competition benchmarking. Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh market experience is a bonus Knowledge of Tamil and Telugu is a bonus Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
