Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly experienced Sr. Robotics Engineer to join our cutting-edge robotics team. This role requires in-depth knowledge of robotic systems, including UAVs (Unmanned Aerial Vehicles), UGVs (Unmanned Ground Vehicles), and ASVs (Autonomous Surface Vehicles). The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Robotic Operating System (ROS) , machine learning , autonomous navigation , and sensor integration . The candidate will lead the development, deployment, and optimization of control and perception systems for autonomous vehicles, contributing to complex multi-agent systems and cutting-edge robotics projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of autonomous control systems for UAVs, UGVs, and other robotic platforms using ROS .
  • Design and implement adaptive coverage control algorithms and visual servoing-based navigation systems .
  • Develop and optimize navigation algorithms for drones and autonomous systems to ensure precision control in varying environments.
  • Oversee the integration of hardware and software components across robotics platforms, ensuring seamless communication between sensors, controllers, and actuators.
  • Lead projects involving SLAM (Simultaneous Localization and Mapping) and model predictive control (MPC) for multi-agent systems.
  • Develop advanced mapping solutions for UGVs and ASVs , utilizing sensor data to generate accurate maps of challenging terrains.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance robotic autonomy , using deep learning and machine learning techniques for real-time decision-making and obstacle avoidance.
  • Ensure seamless integration of embedded systems , including Nvidia Jetson TX2 , Raspberry Pi , Arduino , and other microcontrollers.
  • Provide mentorship to junior engineers and contribute to system-level design decisions.
  • Prepare comprehensive technical documentation and reports to support ongoing and future robotics projects.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Robotics, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in robotics development, particularly with ROS and autonomous systems .
  • Proven experience in algorithm development for UAVs/UGVs and multi-agent systems, with expertise in control theory and perception technologies .
  • Proficiency in programming languages, including Python , C/C++ , and MATLAB .
  • Strong experience with microcontrollers such as Raspberry Pi , Nvidia Jetson TX2/Nano , and Arduino .
  • Hands-on experience with machine learning , deep learning , sensor fusion , and computer vision .
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) for data integration in robotic applications.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in developing and deploying reinforcement learning techniques for autonomous robot control.
  • Experience working with SLAM algorithms and real-time navigation for complex terrain environments.
  • Knowledge of embedded systems design and hardware-software integration for autonomous robotics.
  • Demonstrated expertise in mechatronics development and multi-agent systems coordination
