Job Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced IT Consulting Practice Director to lead our Data and Analytics Practice. The ideal candidate will be a visionary leader with a strong background in data strategy, analytics, and consulting. This role is responsible for driving the growth and success of our data and analytics practice by developing and implementing strategic initiatives, managing client relationships, and leading a team of talented consultants.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Practice Leadership:

  • Develop and execute the strategic vision and roadmap for the Data and Analytics Practice.
  • Ensure the practice stays at the forefront of industry trends and technological advancements.
  • Oversee the delivery of high-quality data and analytics solutions to clients.

2. Client Engagement:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, understanding their business needs and providing tailored data and analytics solutions.
  • Lead client engagements, including project scoping, proposal development, and delivery.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, offering strategic guidance on data and analytics initiatives.

3. Team Development and Leadership:

  • Recruit, mentor, and manage a team of data and analytics consultants.
  • Foster a collaborative and innovative team culture.
  • Provide professional development opportunities and support career growth for team members.


4. Business Development:

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to grow the Data and Analytics Practice.
  • Develop and deliver compelling presentations and proposals to prospective clients.
  • Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to drive lead generation and conversion.
  • Develop strategies for vendor partnerships and strategic business partnerships to ensure the most optimal leverage for the firm.

5. Thought Leadership:

  • Represent the company as a thought leader in data and analytics through speaking engagements, publications, and industry events.
  • Develop and share best practices, methodologies, and frameworks for data and analytics.
  • Conversant with popular Data and Analytics platforms include Oracle, SQL Server, Snowflake, AWS/Azure/GCP database platforms, Salesforce Data Cloud, Tableau, PowerBI, S4/HANA etc.

6. Financial Management:

  • Manage the practice’s budget, ensuring financial targets are met.
  • Monitor and report on practice performance, including key metrics and KPIs.
  • Implement cost-effective strategies to maximize profitability.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Business, or a related field; master’s degree preferred.
  • 12 to 15+ years of experience in data and analytics, with at least 5 to 7 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading and growing a data and analytics practice or consulting team.
  • Strong understanding of data management, business intelligence, advanced analytics, and data science.
  • Excellent client-facing skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships.
  • Strong business acumen and strategic thinking abilities.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, Data Analytics Certifications, Software Certifications – Microsoft, Salesforce, Snowflake, AWS, Data Bricks, Informatica, Oracle, S4/HANA or similar) are a plus.
