Role: Senior Mechanical Design Engineer (SolidWorks Must)Location: Pune, India (Onsite) - F2F interview is MUSTSalary - 6.0 LacsJob Description:Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop mechanical sub-assemblies and parts considering manufacturing processes (sheet metal, machining, casting, plastics, FRP, vacuum forming, etc.).Selection of standard bought-out components such as bearings, gearboxes, motors, and hardware.Create 2D drawings, 3D parts, and assemblies using SolidWorks (analysis experience is an added advantage).Ensure compliance with relevant standards such as CE, ISO, ASME.Collaborate in cross-functional engineering tasks to resolve technical and quality issues.Coordinate closely with the Supply Chain during development.Interact with vendors for part development, prototyping, and BOQ finalization.Skills & QualificationsTechnical SkillsStrong expertise in material selection and understanding manufacturing process limitations.Proficiency in electromechanical design, prototype development, testing, and project management.Knowledge of product development processes (vendor interaction, stakeholder management, project planning, production release documentation such as BOM, GA drawings, manufacturing files).Understanding of adaptive and empirical design principles and relevant certifications (CE, IEC).Excellent command of 2D/3D design and analysis in SolidWorks.Creative approach with strong problem-solving abilities.Experience5–8 years in mechanical design or product development, preferably in industrial automation, automotive, robotics, or appliance industries.EducationBachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
