Role & responsibilities

  • Review, analyse, and process ECRs/ECOs for in-service fuel cell units in collaboration product and field engineering teams.
  • Lead the mechanical design change process, ensuring accurate updates to drawings, 3D models, and BOMs for Static and Rotary components.
  • Assess the impact of design changes on functionality, maintainability, cost, and reliability of fielded systems.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams (mechanical, electrical, controls, and service engineering) for design verification and implementation planning.
  • Develop technical justifications, design notes, and engineering documentation supporting proposed changes.
  • Ensure adherence to configuration control, documentation accuracy, and engineering standards throughout the change process.
  • Support field service teams by providing retrofit instructions, design validation feedback, and post-change performance analysis.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and sourcing teams for material substitutions, obsolescence management, and design standardization.

Contribute to cost reduction and reliability enhancement programs.

Preferred candidate profile

  • Bachelors degree in mechanical
  • 7–10 years of experience in mechanical design, product engineering, or change management, preferably within energy systems or fuel cell technologies.
  • Strong understanding of ECR/ECO workflows, PLM tools and revision control processes.
  • Proficiency in CAD tools.
  • Working knowledge of ASME standards, pressure vessels, piping design, and fabrication methods.
  • Experience in plant operations, maintenance engineering, or reliability programs is advantageous.
  • Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills for coordination with global client teams.
