As we step up production on our first title, we will bring our characters to life, whether it be through immersive visuals and cohesive VFX in every interaction or combat sequence. The VFX Artist - Intern will play a pivotal role in bringing life into each moment in-game.


The Job

We are seeking a talented and driven VFX Artist Intern for a 3-month paid internship. You will be working closely with our creative team to develop and implement high-quality visual effects for our upcoming game projects. A strong understanding of the Unity Game Engine, including Shader Graph, VFX Graph, and particle systems, is essential for this role. You will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience, and contribute to the development of innovative visual effects. If your performance meets expectations, there is potential for continued collaboration on future game projects.


Your skills as an artist, technician and gamer will be tested and honed as you work with our designers and programmers to breathe life into your creations. Your ability to problem solve and learn on the fly will provide a deep sense of satisfaction in your craft.


This position requires you to take on a reasonable amount of ownership and responsibility. You are expected to bring your passion, strong fundamental design & production skills and creative problem solving to contribute to our project. We foster an environment of learning and trial by experimentation. We accept failure as a stepping stone to improvement.


Key Responsibilities

  • Design, create, and implement visual effects within Unity using Shader Graph, VFX Graph, and particle systems.
  • Collaborate with game design and development teams to understand project requirements.
  • Integrate and Optimize visual effects
  • Assist with asset creation, texture mapping, and compositing for in-game visuals.
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions and offer creative solutions for complex visual challenges.
  • Own the delivery, quality & timelines for your work
  • Serve as an active participant in discussions, critiques and reviews


What You Bring

  • (Must) A passion for gaming that helps you gain an understanding of (or enables an interest to learn) top quality visual effects production, design and implementation etc
  • (Must) Demonstrated proficiency in industry-standard VFX software (e.g., After Effects, Houdini, Nuke, or similar).
  • (Must) A portfolio or demo reel showcasing relevant VFX work, particularly in Unity, is required.
  • (Must) Work out of our office in Bengaluru for five days a week
  • (Preferred) Exceptional communication and teamwork skills


Desired Education Level - Ability to display strong grasp visual effects design No formal education degree required.
