We are a rapidly growing mobile games studio with millions of users and a wide range of games, partnering with both mainstream and independent developers.

We’re looking for an experienced Technical Artist with a strong background in Unity to elevate our 2D mobile games. In this role, you’ll collaborate with designers to bring game visuals to life while leading efforts in animation, effects, and art optimization to create an immersive player experience. This position requires a mix of technical proficiency and creative vision to set best practices for Unity development on mobile platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with the Art, Design, and Engineering teams to design and implement effective art pipelines, tools, and features within Unity.
  • Import and integrate assets and animations into the game engine, ensuring visual appeal and optimized performance.
  • Develop and enhance visual effects (VFX) for mobile using shaders, keeping performance in mind.
  • Implement, maintain, and refine UI elements and animations, ensuring smooth functionality and addressing technical challenges.
  • Collaborate with the Art team to establish in-game visual quality standards.
  • Support the Art team by troubleshooting technical issues and ensuring smooth cross-functional collaboration with Engineering.
  • Work with research and development teams as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 4 years of experience as a Technical Artist with a focus on 2D animations in Unity.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of animation trends in gaming.
  • Proficient in After Effects and Unity.
  • Strong skills in Unity and shader programming (HLSL & GLSL) for mobile platforms.
  • Comprehensive portfolio demonstrating professional work in art, animation, and tools development.
  • Excellent eye for visual detail and a thorough understanding of 2D art creation and integration.
  • Expertise in creating Particle FX for mobile games.
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve GPU and CPU performance bottlenecks.
  • Skilled in using mobile performance profiling tools (e.g., RenderDoc, Android GPU Inspector, Instruments for iOS).
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with a proactive, solution-oriented approach.

Preferred Qualities:

  • A genuine passion for indie and mobile gaming.
  • Experience with 3D art tools and techniques.
