Performance Ceramics & Refractories business is a worldwide pioneer in designing, engineering and manufacturing high temperature, corrosion and wear resistant solutions. For more than 20 years, the business has produced high performance materials ranging from refractory bricks, beams, rollers, plates, setters, saggers, tubes, honeycombs and high precision shapes, as well as high temperature cements, mortars, ramming and gunnable monolithics and trowelling mixes. In the field of metallurgy, Performance Ceramics & Refractories is offering products and services for the whole chain of iron and steel processes, ranging for iron ore preparation to blast furnaces, steel shop and reheating furnaces. Saint-Gobain Performance Ceramics & Refractories has also developed innovative solutions for non-iron based metallurgy, including Aluminum, Copper, Zinc, Nickel, Magnesium and Titanium processes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. TO ENSURE SPARES AND COST CONTROL
a. Cost control of maintenance spares by periodically tracking
b. Maintaining all classes of spares
c. Effectively utilize the available man power resources, to achieve maximum efficiency of Contract team
2. TO ENSURE UPTIME OF ALL MACHINES & EFFECTIVE UTILIZATION OF MAN POWER
a. Ensuring the availability of machine for maintenance by coordinating with respective departments
b. Ensuring the execution of Maintenance activities as per plan
c. Trouble shooting and resolving any critical issues
d. Supporting the team in every aspects.
e. Properly planning & scheduling of the work.
f. Communicating the important developments related to EHS, WCM, etc.. to the team
3. 5 S & WORKPLACE MANAGEMENT
a. Ensuring the timely activities to achieve the Maintenance workshop as a 5S Model area for the whole plant
b. Ensuring good level of 5S of mechanical maintenance workshop
c. updating of 5S boards
d. 5S Score as per IMS Audit grid in Maintenance workshop
4. PROJECTS
a. Issuing the permits as per the requirements
b. first level supervision for the projects
c. Assisting the projects team in implementation
5. EHS
a. Basic knowledge on industrial safety , permit systems , industrial hygiene and basic knowledge on environmental regulations of an industry
6. WCM & DEVELOPMENTAL ACTIVITY
a. Regular updating of WCM Reliability pillar board
b. Breakdown Analysis report preparation for Major breakdowns
c. Quick kaizen preparation
7. ENSURE MONTHLY PM COMPLIANCE AS PER PLAN
a. Ensure maximum PM compliance as per plan, covering all the PM points as per the checklist
b. Timely Attending & correcting the identified findings from PM.
c. Regular updating/Amendments of PM checklist based on the Management review recommendation
8. DEVELOPING THE TECHNICAL SKILS OF ALL MAINTENANCE TEAM PERSONAL TO NEXT STAGE
a. Regular training of workmen in different areas
b. Utilizing the skill of operators effectively
9. DEPARTMENTAL DASH BOARD HANDLING & DOCUMENTATION
a. Tracking of department key performance indicators departmental documentation work
of various audits
10. TO ENSURE ALL STATUTORY COMPLIANCES
a. Pressure vessel periodical certification
b. Lifting tools, tackles & Equipments periodical certification
c. Dust collectors performance monitoring
d. Material handling devices periodical certification
e. Hazardous waste handling as per statutory norms
f. Timely sending of Water consumption report

BE(Mech) – 6 years to 8 years
Diploma(Mech) – 8 years to 10 years
