No. of productivity and process improvements. Adherence to NPD release conformances for new product release plan at plant Reduction in overall COPQ and conversion cost. No. of Projects (Kaizen, Low-cost automation & Poka-yoke). Product manufacturing footprint optimization by remodeling plant layouts. Execution of Application projects like brown field & IoT class="MsoTitle" style="text-align:justify"> Provide timely assistance in establishment and commissioning of new equipment at plants. Conduct NPD trials as per the schedule and ensure that the trials are run as per the precise specifications. Effectively record and analyze trial results. Developing PPAP documentations like Work Instructions, PFMEA, Traceability modules. Process flow charts, trials and validation reports. Ensure systematic execution of product and process checking and reviewing as per preset standards. Continually track and monitor quality ratings for the assigned division and support the operations team is systematically resolving manufacturing issues for enhanced quality ratings. Managing in a timely manner processing issues during trials and actual production and ensuring that the same shall be efficiently handled and resolved. Engaging in troubleshooting activities from time to time, to ensure production time conservation. Ensure execution of changes pertaining to new product development. Ensure thorough handover and review of specification changes to the operator level at the plant. Ensure continuous review and improvement in analytical and developmental activities. Review of production related activities and ensuring their optimization for overall cost saving. Optimizes productivity by designing, implementing, and testing new procedures. Detail use of Project Management tools for executing small and medium size projects. Designing Fixtures, Jigs, and tools for improving on productivity, quality, and ergonomic indices of plant. Performing VSM, SPC, DOE and Lean projects to improve bottom line, driving CFT’s. Excellent analytical and interpersonal skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to persuade others to change existing practices. Strong attention to detail. Proven ability to identify, assess and solve problems. Proficient with computer and information technology. Knowledge of process engineering function. Knowledge of project management methodologies. Familiar with Lean manufacturing, DFSS concepts and TPM culture. Proficiency in Autocad and 3 D modelling. Proficiency in data modelling in excel, use of macros and business intelligence tools like Power BI, Minitab etc. BE / ME Mechanical Engineering/ Polymer technology. PMP Certification will be added advantage. Six sigma Black/ Green belt will be added advantage. Manufacturing industry process engineering / Industrial engineering / Methods experience will be suitable for this position. Pivotal roles in leading CFT’s for productivity improvement projects, cost saving initiatives and lead time reduction projects.
