Senior Product EngineerROLE DESCRIPTION SUMMARYThe incumbent will be involved in projects related to the design delivery of Satellite based products and services at the center of an innovative global organization operating in a unique and fast paced industry Contribute to design testing and integration of systems that contribute to the delivery of SES products Work on key projects that will have a meaningful impact on SES success Work across a broad range of technologies with a focus on mobility-based products PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES KEY RESULT AREAS Deliver definitions of product architecture and product features to support creation of products that align with product requirements from Vertical Markets Customers Manage product projects in DevOps create clearly defined project features and assign work-packages to E O owners Collaborate with relevant internal teams and with external contractors to define end-to-end product architecture Deliver system architecture that interoperate between all systems in the full end-to-end service including Terminal Platform Gateway Network in line with agreed PRB governance Work with stakeholder from Engineering Operations to handover design and follow-through to ensure defined product requirements are met Lead participate in testing and integration activities for product solutions Interface with vendors to align requirements as well as follow through on developments and report regularly Interface with product management to understand customer requirements and translate those into technical requirements Support the definition of operational plans procedures to operate end-to-end services in an efficient and reliable manner Collaborate and support the service transition and operations teams on the managed and sovereign service delivery including training of internal external stakeholders on any delivered projects Provide training and guidance on the managed and sovereign service architecture definition COMPETENCIES Curiosity to stay up to date with latest technologies propose new technologies that will advance SES products Analytical skills to reach conclusions based on understanding of data and metrics Ability to set priorities and to work independently towards a long-term objective under tight deadlines Courage to take initiatives when required and foster a collaborative work environment as part of a team Excellent communication and presentation skills to clearly articulate objectives to technical and non-technical audiences Ability to work on an iterative basis with stakeholders during design and prototyping ideally with the Agile Scrum development process Commitment to deadlines and willingness to meet tight development schedules Ability to work with multiple tasks spread over multiple non-related topics efficiently Ability to act as a gap filler among multiple teams to ensure task delivery in a timely manner QUALIFICATIONS EXPERIENCE University degree in Electrical Engineering Computer Engineering Computer Science Information Technology or similar related scientific engineering fields 10 years experience in Satellite Telecommunication Systems as well as Product Engineering Experience with Satellite based Platform technologies Experience of Mobility Satellite Networks Interest Experience in automation Knowledge Experience of Software Development Databases e g Python SQL Awareness of IP and ethernet connectivity services Understanding of virtualization techniques and operating systems for operationally critical infrastructure Experience in documenting products processes and requirements Fluent in English other languages are beneficial OTHER KEY REQUIREMENTS COMMENTS Work with cross discipline teams satellite experts sales business experts etc Work with remote management and team members Domestic and international travel required occasionally Embark on a career with us where diversity isn t just a buzzword it s our driving force We are crafting a workplace mosaic that values every hue background and perspective Join a global team where inclusivity sparks innovation and individuality is not only embraced but celebrated At SES we are committed to hiring inspiring individuals from all backgrounds We take great pride in creating safe and inclusive processes and we support the recruitment retention and evolution of all employees irrespective of gender colour race ethnicity religion sexual orientation disability veteran or marital status background or walk in life SES is an Equal Opportunity Employer and welcomes diversity For more information on SES click
