Senior QA Engineer - Build Our Testing Infrastructure From Scratch Company: Gold Machine LLC Location: Remote (India) Experience Required: 5-7 years Employment Type: Full-time About Us We're a fast-moving B2B SaaS startup building a social sweepstakes platform. Our team of 6-8 people ships biweekly and moves with urgency. We're looking for our first dedicated QA engineer to own quality from day one. This is a startup role with high expectations, fast pace, and the opportunity to make a massive impact. The Role You'll be our first QA hire , which means you're not joining a process, you're creating it. What You'll Build Design and implement our entire testing strategy from the ground up Build automated testing pipelines integrated with our CI/CD (GitHub Actions) Create comprehensive regression test suites for our full stack Establish QA standards, processes, and best practices Own quality across our biweekly release cycles In the first few months, you'll audit the current codebase, set up automated test suites for critical user flows, establish bug tracking workflows in Jira, and get our regression suite running in the CI/CD pipeline. The goal is to reduce production bugs and build confidence in our biweekly releases through systematic testing. This is a builder role . You'll have the autonomy to choose tools, define workflows, and shape how we approach quality. Tech Stack Frontend: React JS Backend: Nest JS (Node.js framework) Database: PostgreSQL Infrastructure: AWS Version Control: GitHub Project Management: Jira You'll be testing across the entire stack UI, APIs, database integrations, and cloud infrastructure. Requirements Must Have 5-7 years of hands-on QA experience with modern web applications Strong expertise in test automation with proven track record building frameworks from scratch Frontend Testing: Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress or Playwright for E2E testing API Testing: Postman/Newman, Supertest, or similar REST API testing tools Performance Testing: Experience with JMeter, k6, or Artillery CI/CD Integration: Hands-on experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions preferred) Database Testing: Proficiency writing complex SQL queries to validate data integrity in PostgreSQL Deep understanding of testing methodologies (unit, integration, E2E, regression testing) Excellent bug documentation and communication skills Experience with cloud environments (AWS is a plus) Nice to Have Experience with TypeScript Knowledge of Nest.js or Node.js backend testing AWS testing experience (Lambda, S3, RDS, etc.) Experience in fast-paced startup environments Familiarity with load/stress testing SaaS applications What We're Looking For We value execution and ownership over pedigree.
