Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Sr Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have 5-8 years of experience in accounting, with a strong understanding of Indian accounting standards and tax regulations. The Sr Accountant will be responsible for managing financial reporting, ensuring compliance, and providing insights on financial performance to support strategic decision-making.

Responsibilities

- Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements and reports in compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
- Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes including reconciliations and journal entries.
- Conduct detailed variance analysis and provide insights to management regarding financial performance.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations and prepare necessary tax filings.
- Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, ensuring timely processing and collection of payments.
- Assist in the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures.
- Coordinate with external auditors during financial audits and ensure all documentation is readily available.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior accounting staff.

Skills and Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; a Master's degree or MBA is a plus.
- Professional accounting certification such as CA, CPA, or CMA is required.
- 5-8 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance roles, preferably in a corporate environment.
- Strong knowledge of Indian accounting standards (IND AS) and tax regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as Tally, SAP, or QuickBooks, and advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with stakeholders and team members.
