About VolumX VolumX is India’s first and leading company for digital humans, trusted by Oscar-winning studios and global brands. Using some of the most advance technologies like LightStage, 4D Scanning Photometric Scanning, we are creating lifelike digital doubles for celebrities, powering face replacements, de-aging, and autonomous digital humans. We’re inviting talented character artists to join us in shaping the future of Digital Humans. Key Responsibilities: - Create photorealistic characters from scratch, including humans, creatures, and stylized variants. - Handle the full pipeline: Modeling, Sculpting, Texturing, Grooming, LookDev, Lighting, Rigging, and Realtime integration. - Collaborate with tech, animation, and pipeline teams to deliver production-ready assets. - Optimize characters for VFX and Unreal Engine workflows. - Work on 3D Scan/4D Scan data to create photoreal digital-doubles. Softwares: You must be fluent in the following tools: - Maya - ZBrush - Mari - Arnold - Houdini - XGen (Grooming) - Nuke - Photoshop - Wrap3D / Wrap4D - Unreal Engine - Marvelous Designer Required Skill Sets: - Strong understanding of anatomy, silhouette, and form. - Expert in high-poly and low-poly character workflows. - Mastery of PBR texturing, UDIMs, displacement & normal workflows. - Experience developing hair/fur grooms (XGen, Houdini). - Lookdev proficiency in Arnold/Renderman and realtime shaders in Unreal. - Ability to set up functional rigs or work closely with rigging teams. - Understanding of facial pipelines, FACS, blenshapes and scan processing (Wrap3D/4D). - Strong artistic eye + technical problem-solving abilities.
