Job Description – Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Location: Ahmedabad / Mumbai, India (Hybrid) Reports To: Partners Type: Full-Time | Company Overview Founded in 2013, Troy Groups is an international capital advisory and investor-relations consultancy specializing in integrated investment solutions and capital introductions across global markets. Role Overview The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will oversee all financial operations across Troy Groups’ Indian entities and contribute to global strategic finance leadership. This role combines financial stewardship, compliance oversight, capital strategy, and operational execution to support Troy’s growth in South Asia and global markets. Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Leadership & Strategy · • Lead financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting for Indian operations aligned with Group objectives. · • Advise management on capital allocation, fund flows, and cash management across global entities. · • Partner with Group CFO and Managing Partners to shape strategic finance initiatives and investor reporting. · • Identify financial risks and opportunities ensuring sustainable profitability and liquidity. Accounting, Compliance & Reporting · • Oversee statutory accounting, tax, and audit compliance under Indian GAAP and IFRS. · • Manage relationships with auditors, tax advisors, and regulators (MCA, RBI, GST, SEZ, etc.). · • Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements, MIS, and consolidated reports to global management. · • Implement and maintain robust internal controls and governance frameworks. Treasury & Fund Management · • Supervise treasury operations including cash forecasting, currency management, and repatriation planning. · • Support investor fund movements and reconciliation in compliance with FEMA and RBI guidelines. · • Liaise with banking partners for credit facilities, capital flows, and KYC/AML compliance. Operational Finance · • Oversee vendor management, payroll, and cost optimization strategies. · • Manage accounting teams to ensure process efficiency and accuracy. · • Drive adoption of ERP/accounting automation systems for consistent reporting. Business Partnership · • Collaborate with BD, Legal, and IR departments on contracts, revenue recognition, and investor transactions. · • Provide financial due diligence and valuation support for deals and M&A activity. · • Advise Partners and senior management in strategic decision-making. Qualifications & Experience · • Chartered Accountant (CA) or equivalent qualification (CPA, ACCA, or MBA Finance). · • 10–15 years post-qualification experience, including 5+ years in senior leadership or CFO roles. · • Experience in financial services, investment management, or capital markets advisory. · • Knowledge of Indian tax law, Companies Act, GST, FEMA, and RBI reporting. · • Exposure to IFRS, international consolidation, and multi-entity structures. · • Experience in cross-border accounting, transfer pricing, and intercompany reconciliation. · • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Preferred Skills · • Proficiency in Tally Prime, Zoho Books, QuickBooks, or ERPNext, and advanced Excel. · • Understanding of valuation, corporate finance, and investor reporting. · • Experience supporting VC/PE fundraising or investor relations is advantageous. · • Comfortable working across time zones with multicultural leadership teams.
