Role Description We are seeking a highly motivated and empathetic Education Counsellor to join our team. The Education Counsellor will be responsible for guiding prospective students and parents through the enrolment process, providing information about various educational programs, helping them select courses, and offering ongoing support to ensure a positive educational experience. The ideal candidate is knowledgeable, approachable, and skilled in interpersonal communication. Key Responsibilities: - Student Counselling: Provide counseling to prospective students to guide them in selecting appropriate courses and programs based on their academic and career goals. - Enrolment Process Management: Assist students in understanding the application and enrolment process, including document submission, deadlines, and financial aid options if available. Ensure students complete all necessary enrolment steps and follow up on pending tasks to maintain a smooth admission process. - Program Promotion: Stay updated on program offerings, eligibility requirements, and industry trends to effectively promote courses and benefits to potential students. Participate in open houses, webinars, and other events to attract new students and enhance brand awareness. - Database Management & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of counseling sessions, interactions, and enrollment progress. Prepare regular reports on leads, conversions, and other key metrics to support decision-making and strategy. - Career Guidance & Support: Offer advice on career prospects, industry demands, and employment pathways to help students align their academic choices with career goals. Organize workshops, seminars, or sessions with industry experts to provide career insights and additional support for students. - Collaborative Engagement: Work closely with academic advisors, faculty members, and administrative staff to ensure that students receive comprehensive support. Provide feedback and insights to improve programs, services, and counseling processes. Requirements Qualifications: - Education: Bachelor’s degree in any field. - Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in student counseling, admissions, or a similar role, preferably in an educational institution or counseling center. - Skills: - Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a friendly and professional demeanor. - Ability to empathize with students’ challenges and provide actionable guidance. - Familiarity with CRM software, Google Suite, and MS Office. - Excellent organizational and time-management skills. Additional Requirements: - Passion for helping students succeed in their educational journeys. - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision. - Willingness to participate in events and workshops, sometimes outside regular hours.
