Key Responsibilities
JOB DESCRIPTION
Process And Equipment Operation
- Operate various process equipment including reactors, centrifuges, tray driers, vacuum tray driers, roto cone vacuum driers, agitated nutsche filter cum driers, multi mills, sifters, and distillation columns.
- Manage utility equipment such as vacuum pumps, ejectors, and scrubbers.
Process Monitoring And Control
- Monitor and control process parameters as per Batch Manufacturing Record (BMR).
- Execute production batches to meet production targets.
- Ensure effective utilization of personnel, utilities, equipment, raw materials, and power.
Safety And Compliance
- Safely handle hazardous chemicals and solvents.
- Implement controls for static electricity.
- Adhere to CGMP and safety norms, and maintain good housekeeping practices.
- Report abnormalities, near misses, unsafe conditions, and unsafe acts.
Documentation And Reporting
- Maintain online documentation such as batch manufacturing records, equipment cleaning records, and equipment logs.
- Maintain inventories of raw materials, packing materials, solvents, intermediates, and finished goods.
Troubleshooting And Improvement
- Troubleshoot process equipment and utility systems.
- Initiate work orders and safety permits.
- Generate new ideas and initiatives for yield improvement, time cycle reduction, and capacity enhancement.
- Prepare the plant for audit readiness.
People Management
- Ensure the safety of self and team members.
- Coordinate with supporting departments (Engineering, Technical Service, QC, R&D) for smooth production operations.
- Participate in training programs and ensure effective communication.
Desired Skills And Attributes
- Proficiency in PLC, SCADA, and DCS systems.
- Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001.
- Ability to work in a patient-centric approach.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Qualification: Diploma / B.E / B.Tech in Chemical Engineering, B.Sc. in Chemistry, or M.Sc. in Chemistry.
- Work Experience: 4-6 years of experience in the Bulk Drugs industry with exposure to GMP practices.
- Special Requirements: Familiarity with FDA guidelines.
