Overview We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Counselor to join our team The ideal candidate will have a strong background in education administration and experience working with students in various capacities This role involves providing individual and group counseling academic advising and mentoring to help students achieve their personal and academic goals The Counselor will play a vital role in fostering a supportive environment that encourages student success Responsibilities Provide individual and group counseling sessions to address student needs and concerns Engage in academic advising to guide students in their educational paths Mentor students offering support and encouragement throughout their academic journey Conduct interviews with prospective students to assess their fit for programs Utilize analysis skills to evaluate student progress and develop tailored support strategies Collaborate with faculty and staff to enhance the educational experience Participate in recruiting efforts to attract new students to the institution Deliver presentations and workshops on relevant topics demonstrating strong public speaking skills Maintain accurate records of counseling sessions and student interactions using systems like Ellucian or PeopleSoft Experience The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and qualifications Proven experience in individual group counseling mentoring or academic advising Strong communication skills both verbal and written with the ability to engage effectively with diverse student populations Familiarity with education administration processes and university experience is preferred Proficiency in using software systems such as Ellucian or PeopleSoft for record keeping and data management Demonstrated ability in public speaking teaching and facilitating workshops Strong analytical skills to assess student needs and program effectiveness Experience working with students from various backgrounds showcasing empathy and understanding of their challenges If you are passionate about helping students succeed academically and personally we encourage you to apply for this rewarding opportunity as a Counselor Job Types Full-time Part-time Pay From 500 00 per hour Work Location In person
