Job description Position Student Counsellor Location Muvattupuzha Kerala India Employment Type Full-Time About Us English Channel Study Abroad is dedicated to providing exceptional educational opportunities for students seeking to study abroad Our mission is to support students in achieving their academic and personal goals by offering comprehensive guidance and support throughout their study abroad journey Job Summary The Student Counsellor will play a crucial role in advising and supporting students through the study abroad process This includes providing guidance on academic programs cultural adaptation and personal development to ensure a successful and enriching experience for our students Key Responsibilities Provide one-on-one counselling sessions to students to discuss academic personal and career goals Assist students in selecting appropriate study abroad programs that align with their academic interests and career aspirations Offer guidance on application processes visa requirements and pre-departure preparations Conduct orientation sessions and workshops for students and their families to address expectations cultural adjustment and practical matters related to studying abroad Provide ongoing support to students while they are abroad including assistance with academic challenges cultural adjustment and personal issues Coordinate with host institutions and partner organisations to ensure students receive necessary support and resources Create and update informational materials such as guides and handbooks to assist students in their study abroad journey Maintain accurate records of incidents and follow up with students and families as needed Collaborate with academic advisors faculty and staff to promote study abroad opportunities and support student success Experience Counselling Experience Previous experience 1-5 years in student counselling academic advising Study Abroad Advising Direct experience with study abroad programs Skills and Competencies Interpersonal Skills Strong ability to build rapport with students families and colleagues Excellent listening and empathy skills Communication Skills Outstanding verbal and written communication abilities to effectively convey information to diverse audiences Organizational Skills Excellent organizational and multitasking skills to manage multiple students and tasks simultaneously Problem-Solving Abilities Strong problem-solving skills to assist students with various academic and personal issues Technological Proficiency Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with student information systems and online communication tools How to Apply Interested candidates are invited to submit their resume outlining their qualifications and experience to Mvt englishchannel in or contact 91 87142 48555 Job Types Full-time Permanent Fresher Experience student counselling 1 year experience preferred Work Location In person Expected Start Date 01 11 2024 Job Type Full-time Pay 15 000 00 - 25 000 00 per month Education Bachelor s Preferred Work Location In person
