Introduction We are looking for a Store Supervisor to efficiently manage loading and unloading operations at our warehouse or storage facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supervising the movement of materials, coordinating with transport agencies and depots, monitoring stock handling activities, and ensuring smooth day-to-day store operations. This role demands attention to detail, strong leadership, and coordination skills to manage inventory flow and maintain accuracy in records. Supervision of Loading & Unloading Activities Oversee daily loading and unloading operations at the store or warehouse. Ensure goods are handled carefully to avoid damage, loss, or misplacement. Allocate manpower effectively to maintain smooth workflow and timely dispatches. Supervise third-party laborers or contractors during material movement. 2. Coordination with Depots & Transport Agencies Work closely with the depot teams and transportation partners to schedule timely pickups and deliveries. Ensure transport vehicles are available and ready as per dispatch plans. Resolve logistics-related issues such as delays, vehicle shortages, or scheduling conflicts. Maintain effective communication with suppliers, transporters, and warehouse personnel. 3. Inventory Management Conduct regular stock counting and ensure accurate material quantity records. Update inventory databases and maintain goods inward/outward registers. Monitor storage conditions and ensure proper stacking, labeling, and segregation of materials. Report shortages, damages, or discrepancies to the store manager or management team. 4. Record-Keeping & Reporting Maintain accurate documentation of material received, dispatched, and in transit. Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports related to loading/unloading activities. Record vehicle details, driver information, and material weight slips for auditing purposes. Ensure compliance with company procedures for stock handling and dispatch. 5. Safety & Compliance Enforce safety guidelines during material handling operations. Ensure staff and laborers follow proper lifting techniques and safety equipment usage. Report accidents or near-miss incidents to the safety officer or management. Ensure compliance with organizational policies and local transport regulations. 6. Issue Resolution Identify and resolve problems related to loading delays, material damages, or shortage mismatches. Address labor concerns and coordinate with HR or contractors when necessary. Provide quick solutions to avoid disruptions in material dispatch timelines. Required Skills & Competencies Technical Skills Knowledge of warehouse operations, material handling, and inventory control. Familiarity with logistics processes and transport coordination. Basic understanding of ERP systems, MS Office, and inventory management software. Communication & Coordination Skills Strong verbal and written communication for dealing with depots, suppliers, and transport agencies. Ability to effectively delegate tasks and coordinate team efforts. Problem-solving and decision-making capabilities under pressure. Soft Skills Leadership qualities to manage workers, loaders, and helpers effectively. Attention to detail in counting, recording, and monitoring stock movements. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Educational Qualifications Minimum Qualification: 12th Pass / Diploma in Logistics, Warehouse Management, or Supply Chain.
