Responsibilities: Kanakavalli is looking for Junior Merchandisers across their online and offline brand retail activities, including vendor, product and brand activity management.

Across the specific allocated role, Junior Merchandisers are expected to display excellent organisational and planning skills, and demonstrate a keen understanding of systems and processes they need to follow.

This role requires a track record in a brand or retail environment.

Core responsibilities include:

Junior Merchandisers are expected to "shadow" their senor team merchandisers, providing support to the allocated responsibilities. As a micro team, the junior and senior merchandisers are collectively responsible for –

· Working closely with the sales team, inventory and vendors on planning and selection of merchandise for buying and stocking.

· Working closely with vendors, sales team & junior merchandisers on orders, pre-orders and product clarifications

· Support marketing initiatiatives through product selection and planning.

· Liaise closely with inventory on special request stock (color-ups and special orders and collections)

· Help research, co-ordinate and manage pop-ups in store and online, including special collection in store launches

· Handle any other department based common merchandising responsibilities

Experience:

· Merchandising background in a retail environment essential, as is demonstrable organisational and planning skills

· 1-2 years of management/ merchandising experience with a relevant luxury handcrafted/textile brand.

Skills:

· Excellent organisation and planning skills

· Strong initiative leaders

· Excel and data management essential

· Aptitude for quick learning and growth

Location:
