Role Description

This is a full-time Hybrid role for an Oracle Retail Merchandising System Developer. The RMS Developer will be responsible for developing and maintaining the Retail Merchandising System, implementing new features, integrations and ensuring the system meets performance and security requirements.

Essential Requirements

- Minimum of 4 years of software development/project-related activities (i.e. design, develop, test and maintain enterprise applications).
- Ability to think outside the box in terms of software solutions for complex problems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Technical expertise in required languages, operating systems, databases, development tools, networking, and/or software packages.
- Participates in full lifecycle projects to understand business requirements and then completes the design, development, testing, implementation and production support.
- Translate functional specifications into technical specifications to provide low level details for development lifecycle.
- Collaborate with business and technology cross-functional teams
- Ability to determine feasibility of business requests, estimate time frames and resources needed, and assist Project Manager with project planning
- Participate in 24/7 on-call support activities on a rotation basis

Technical Skills

- Proficient in Oracle Retail Merchandising system(RMS) and PL/SQL. Knowledge of Java or Dot Net is a plus
- Experience with Retail Projects
- Ability to work in both Agile and Waterfall approaches
- Familiarity with various operating systems (Linux, Windows)
- Experience with Shell Scripting
- Working knowledge of Pro*C for troubleshooting batch issues
- Ability to perform batch and integration application performance tuning.
- Experience with Jira, Confluence and Atlassian stack
- Ability to administer, configure and troubleshoot the batch schedule via the Control-M scheduler, including job/thread restarts/debugging and parallel tuning a plus
