Position Senior Engineer Technical Lead Linux BSP Yocto What You ll Be DoingCVE Management Fixing Identify analyze and patch CVEs in the Linux kernel and Free Opensource Packages Proactively monitor for security advisories and ensure vulnerabilities are addressed promptly Coordinate with the security team to prioritize vulnerabilities and implement mitigation strategies Understand CVE Detection Report and Execute Maintenance Linux Kernel Development Maintenance Maintain and enhance kernel subsystems with a focus on security performance and reliability Kernel Major Minor Version Upgradation Assist in kernel configuration debugging and tuning for production environments Ensure compatibility and stability across various Linux distributions Maintenance Activities Perform system updates patch management and ensure system compliance Collaborate with the DevOps and Infrastructure teams to ensure smooth system operations Troubleshoot kernel-related issues and provide support to other technical teams Client-Facing Communication Act as the technical point of contact for clients providing updates on CVE patching and maintenance efforts Deliver clear and concise explanations of complex technical issues to non-technical stakeholders Collaborate with clients to ensure tailored solutions that meet their security and system requirements Strong sense of ownership passionate fast learner analytical mind set perfection seeker Excellent interpersonal and communication skills What Are We Looking For Strong experience in identifying and fixing CVEs especially within Linux environments Handson with Yocto Build System and Free Open-source Packages In-depth knowledge of Linux BSP Linux Kernel internals Device Drivers and subsystems Hands-on experience with Linux distributions e g Ubuntu CentOS RHEL Debian Proficiency in C C programming for kernel-level development Experience with patch management system updates and vulnerability scanning Experience in Shell Scripting Python Able to Execute and Modify Jenkins CI CD pipelines Experience in GITHUB JIRA Scrubber Confluence tools Work closely with cross-functional teams including Security Development and Operations to ensure timely delivery of projects Create and maintain technical documentation for CVE patches kernel updates and system changes Provide training and knowledge-sharing sessions for internal teams on CVE mitigation techniques and kernel best practices Location Ahmedabad Pune Bangalore Hyderabad Chennai Noida IndoreLocation IN-GJ-Ahmedabad India-Ognaj eInfochips Time Type Full timeJob Category Engineering Services
