Role Overview We are looking for a sharp, resourceful, and detail-oriented Business Analyst who thrives on solving problems and delivering results. The role involves compiling and analysing sector-specific data, maintaining comprehensive databases, tracking regulatory and market developments, and producing insightful reports and newsletters. You will be responsible for studying market trends, evaluating quantitative data such as power prices and fuel costs, benchmarking India's power market against global standards, and staying updated on industry news. This position requires strong ownership, an analytical mindset, and the ability to independently research, synthesise information, and present findings clearly and effectively. Key Responsibilities - Compiling and analysing data, maintaining databases related to the power sector. - Create daily, weekly, and monthly newsletters covering various aspects of the power market. - Track regulatory developments, tenders, events, etc. related to the power sector. - Study and present findings on past trends, existing market structure, anticipated market designs, and policy directions. - Analysis of quantitative data related to the power sector, including power price, fuel cost, demand and supply, etc. - Reviewing, commenting on, and/or drafting concept notes and discussion papers. - Benchmarking the Indian Power Market against other developed international markets. - Stay updated on the latest news and updates related to the power sector. Skills & Qualifications - Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Analytics, Communications, or related field. - Experience: 23 years in business analysis, research, reporting, or related roles (internship/project experience counts). Technical Skills - Proficiency in MS Excel (must-have). - Knowledge of SQL, Power BI, or Tableau is a plus. Core Competencies - Exceptional attention to detail. - Strong ownership and accountability. - Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new tools/processes. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Mindset - Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment. - Can figure it out attitude towards any problem.
