Job Description Inviting applications for the role of Principal Consultant - Azure Data Engineer Position Overview - Accountable for the design, development, and delivery of a data warehouse using Azure Databricks Lakehouse solutions - Lead, develop, maintain, and integrate processes for extracting and transforming data from various sources for querying and analysis - Load data into a dimensional model (EDM) and operational data stores (data marts) Responsibilities - Design and develop data warehouses and data marts for analysis and reporting - Interact with end users and business analysts to understand requirements - Develop SQL-based data processing pipelines, including functions, tables, and views - Implement technology best practices and guidelines - Create data validation rules to ensure correct values in source data - Perform data profiling to identify quality issues, anomalies, and gather metadata information - Use Databricks to optimize processing and analytics tasks - Collaborate with Databricks administrators and platform engineers for optimal pipeline performance - Implement data quality rules and governance policies for accuracy and consistency - Develop Azure Databricks data engineering tasks Qualifications we seek in you Minimum Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field - relevant professional experience - experience with Databricks Data Lake and Lakehouse Platform - Strong SQL skills for data manipulation and query optimization - Experience in data modeling, integration, and quality - Knowledge of data warehouse architectures, design patterns, and performance tuning techniques - Hands-on experience with Azure Databricks, Databricks Workspace UI, managing notebooks using Delta Lake - Basic experience with version control systems like Git - Knowledge of Data Build Tool (dbt) or Databricks Delta Live Table is a plus - Proficiency in Azure cloud platform - Knowledge of Visual Studio Code development is a plus - Knowledge of Python (and Jinja) is a plus - Experience with Power BI or other BI reporting tools is a plus Professional Competencies - Customer/stakeholder focus - Functional/technical skills - Written/oral communication - Ability to adapt quickly to different priorities and assignments - Team player with strong communication skills - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills - - - - -
