Job Description To manage product categories and ensure optimal inventory availability across stores by maintaining a balance between demand, supply, and profitability. The role focuses on category performance, vendor coordination, product assortment, pricing, promotions, and replenishment planning for The Organic World's retail and online channels. Key Responsibilities:Category Management - Develop and implement category strategies aligned with business objectives. - Manage product assortment, pricing, promotions, and lifecycle for assigned categories. - Conduct regular category performance analysis sales, margins, inventory turns, and product mix. - Identify gaps and new product opportunities based on market trends and consumer insights. - Collaborate with the marketing and operations team for in-store visibility, promotions, and events. - Negotiate with vendors on pricing, schemes, and terms to maximize profitability. Replenishment & Inventory Planning - Monitor stock levels across stores and warehouses to ensure product availability. - Generate replenishment plans based on sales velocity, safety stock levels, and store needs. - Coordinate with supply chain and warehouse teams to ensure timely dispatch and replenishment. - Manage slow-moving, non-moving, and near-expiry items with proactive liquidation strategies. - Maintain optimum inventory levels to reduce stockouts and overstock situations. - Prepare weekly/monthly reports on stock health, OSA (On Shelf Availability), and fill rates. Vendor & Cross-functional Coordination - Work closely with suppliers for order management and fulfillment. - Coordinate with the procurement, warehouse, and finance teams for smooth operations. - Ensure product master data accuracy in the ERP system (pricing, pack size, lead time, MOQ, etc.). Key Skills & Competencies - Strong analytical and numerical ability. - Proficiency in MS Excel and inventory management systems. - Excellent negotiation and communication skills. - Understanding of retail operations and merchandising principles. - Detail-oriented with strong follow-up and planning skills. Qualifications & Experience - Graduate / Postgraduate in Business, Supply Chain, or Retail Management. - 26 years of experience in Category Management / Merchandising / Replenishment (preferably in FMCG, Organic, or Retail industry).
