- Brass Instrument Teacher Department Performing Arts Location Good Shepherd International School Ooty Onboarding July 2026 Reporting to Head of Department - Performing Arts Employment Type Full-Time Residential Accommodation Cafeteria Provided by the School About Good Shepherd International School Good Shepherd International School GSIS is a premier full-boarding school situated in the Nilgiris The school offers an enriching and holistic learning environment with strong emphasis on academics sports and performing arts With state-of-the-art facilities and a culturally diverse campus GSIS fosters excellence and creativity in all areas Position Overview We invite applications for a Brass Instrument Teacher to join the Performing Arts Department for the July 2026 onboarding The ideal candidate should demonstrate strong musical proficiency across brass instruments and have significant experience preparing students for international music examinations particularly Trinity College London TCL and ABRSM RSM Key Responsibilities Teach Trumpet Euphonium Trombone Horn and Baritone to students at various skill levels Prepare students for TCL examinations Grade 8 mandatory and ABRSM Royal Schools of Music examinations preferred Conduct individual lessons group sessions and ensemble practices Lead and support the school band orchestra rehearsals and musical ensembles Prepare students for recitals competitions school events and public performances Contribute to curriculum planning and structured learning pathways in brass music Conduct assessments auditions and provide detailed feedback and progress documentation Guide students on technique musicality instrument handling and maintenance Collaborate with the Performing Arts faculty on departmental initiatives and performances Actively participate in the responsibilities of a residential school setting Qualifications Experience Bachelor s Master s degree in Music Performing Arts or equivalent qualification TCL Grade 8 mandatory ABRSM RSM certification preferred Expertise in Trumpet Euphonium Trombone Horn and Baritone Minimum 3-5 years of teaching experience ideally in an international or residential school Proven experience coaching students for TCL or ABRSM examinations Strong musical pedagogy skills communication abilities and classroom management Ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural and high-performing department Application Requirements Applicants must submit Updated Resume Recent Photograph Demo Video Links teaching demonstration solo performance or ensemble direction TCL Grade 8 AB RSM certification What We Offer Fully furnished residential accommodation Cafeteria facility with all meals provided Access to advanced music studios instruments and performance venues A supportive and dynamic professional environment Selection Process The recruitment process for July 2026 includes Application screening Technical interview and performance demonstration Discussion with the HOD - Performing Arts Final HR interview You can share your resume to hr-head gsis ac in Requirements
