Role - MONGODB Database Administrator Experience 5-10 Years Primary skill - MONGODB - 6 years Secondry skill - MySQL PostgreSQL Azure Roles Responsibilities Work as Subject Matter Expert for MongoDB Database technologies Acquire knowledge and detailed understanding on customer s Database environment Validate Scope of Work and Due Diligence of Data and identify gaps Responsible for interacting with internal teams vendors and customers to coordinate the timely implementation of Database services Work effectively on diverse type of customers from different time zones Validate RLS and identify skill gaps Gather required and detailed information and develop SMTDs SOPs with complete understanding of customer Database environment Responsible for giving reverse knowledge transfer to BAU teams and getting sign-off from customer and internal stakeholders Anticipate risks and challenges well in advance and effectively articulate risks challenges and get sign-off on SMTD Risk Register and other technical operational documents Propose risk mitigation plan and options Work with the internal and external eco system to mitigate risks in good time Responsible for implementing best practice hardening and automation of BAU tasks Knowledge and ability to identify the risks on the customer Database environment make recommendations of solutions according to the industry best practices relevant for customer landscape Change management in customer end for remote management of Databases and onboarding of Monitoring tools Self-driven and motivated individual who can lead from the front and take end to end ownership of the MongoDB Database Process and Technologies for seamless transition and smooth Go Live of services from the perspective of People Process and Technology Strong Proficiency in MONGODB database administration Experience with replication configuration in MONGODB Experience in Sharding concepts configuration of MONGODB Provision MONGODB instances both in clustered and non-clustered configurations Understanding of MONGO s underlying storage engines such as WiredTiger and In-Memory Storage Engine Ensure Performance security and availability of databases Prepare documentation and specification Handle common database procedures such as upgrade backup migration recovery etc Proficient in writing and optimizing mongo dB SQL statements Knowledge of different MONGODB features Sharding Load balancing Indexing Ability to plan resource requirements from high level specifications Knowledge of limitations in MONGODB and their workarounds in contrast to other popular relational databases Technical Skills Required MONGODB Linux Secondary Skills Optional MYSQL PostgreSQL Oracle at least one technology Specific Domain Technical Functional skills Strong troubleshooting skills in Database Infrastructure environment and advanced problem-solving skills Proactive measures and preventive measure for problems errors Management of SLAs and KPIs Liaise with vendors OEMs for the technical issues escalations Drive major incidents and resolutions Documentation Operational performance reporting People management and skills development Own and Drive Service Improvement plans Identify own and mitigate risks Ensure compliance to client and organization processes and policies Perform performance tuning Should have relevant scripting knowledge Preparing scripting tools for automation Exposure on clustering High Availability License Management is added advantage
