Job Description :- 2+ years of experience as a SQL Database Administrator- Solid understanding of SQL scripting and stored procedures- Knowledge of database monitoring and performance tuning tools- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex database issues.- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.- Candidates with experience using Azure SQL Instances preferred.- Manage and maintain SQL Server databases, ensuring high availability and performance.- Implement backup and recovery strategies to safeguard data.- Monitor database performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise.- Optimize SQL queries and database structure for maximum efficiency.- Collaborate with development teams to design database solutions that meet business needs.- Ensure database security and compliance with industry standards.- Perform regular database maintenance tasks, including updates and patches.- Manage SQL Server databases.- End to end migration of SQL Databases Discover, Assess, Migrate & Optimize- Configure and maintain database servers and processes.- Monitor system's health and performance.- Ensure high levels of performance, availability, sustainability, and security.- Analyse, solve, and correct issues in real time.- Provide suggestions for solutions.- Refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document changes.- Assist developers with query tuning and schema refinement.- Perform scheduled maintenance and support release deployment activities after hours.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following :- Monitoring of database performance and stability- Establish the baseline for system performance, recognize deviation, and suggest and implement improvements to slow running queries- Develop and document technical processes and procedures as needed.- Interact, meet, discuss, and troubleshoot issues with the engineering team.- Report project status as required for all recurring and non-recurring efforts.- Work under minimal direction and independently determine and develop approach to solutions.Skills and Qualifications :- Proficiency in SQL Server, MySQL, or Oracle databases.- Strong understanding of database security, backups, and recovery processes.- Familiarity with database monitoring tools and performance tuning.- Basic knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell).- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
