Minimal fixed compensation – only case-to-case coverage of expenses Opportunity to be a core founding team member driving AI development Experience : 8 Y+ but not more than 14 years Role Description This is a part-time on-site role for the Head of Artificial Intelligence - Core team at NYX, located in Bengaluru. The Head of Artificial Intelligence will lead a team of AI experts, develop new AI algorithms, and enhance existing models. Responsibilities include overseeing projects involving pattern recognition, natural language processing (NLP), and computer vision, ensuring the seamless integration of these technologies into our platform. The role also involves mentoring team members, collaborating with stakeholders, and staying updated with the latest advancements in AI. Note: While leadership and strategic thinking are essential, hands-on experience and the ability to actively contribute to technical development are the most critical core competencies for this role. You must be comfortable working directly on model architecture, implementation, and optimisation alongside your team. Strategic Leadership Define and execute NYX’s AI strategy in alignment with business objectives. Conceptualise and develop the AI Agent platform tailored for performance marketing use cases. Build and lead a high-performing team of AI engineers, data scientists, and researchers. Stay ahead of AI advancements and ensure NYX maintains its leadership in the market. AI Development & Research Oversee the design, development, and deployment of cutting-edge AI systems, focusing on generative AI technologies and multi-agent systems. Lead the development and scaling of Large Language Models (LLMs), Generative Adversarial Networks (GANs), Diffusion Models, and other state-of-the-art AI architectures. Drive hands-on coding and contribute to the development of the AI platform. Foster a research-driven culture, encouraging contributions to top-tier AI conferences and publications. Product & Innovation Lead the creation of innovative AI solutions that tackle real-world challenges in performance marketing. Collaborate with product and business teams to align AI initiatives with customer needs. Champion rapid prototyping and experimentation to accelerate the AI product development lifecycle. Collaboration & Governance Work cross-functionally with engineering, product, and business development teams to integrate AI solutions into NYX’s product offerings. Ensure ethical AI development practices, emphasizing fairness, transparency, and accountability. Establish best practices for data governance, model training, and deployment to deliver high-quality AI systems. Qualifications Educational Background Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or related fields from a top-tier institution (IIT, NIT, IIIT, or equivalent). Experience 8+ years of experience in AI/ML, with a focus on deep learning and generative AI models. Proven track record of leading AI research and development teams. Extensive experience with AI frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, and scalable model deployment. Technical Expertise Expertise in building generative AI models, including GANs, VAEs, Diffusion Models, and LLMs. Hands-on experience with AI model architecture, optimization, and distributed training techniques. Proficiency in developing AI agents and multi-agent systems. Strong coding skills and the ability to oversee technical development. Strong leadership, mentorship, and team-building skills. Visionary mindset to define long-term AI strategies and deliver cutting-edge solutions. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment. Core Requirement: This role demands direct, hands-on involvement in model design, training, and system architecture. Delegation alone is not sufficient—you must lead from the front technically. Leadership & Vision Preferred Skills Experience with real-world deployment of AI agent-based applications. Proficiency in cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure for AI model deployment. Prior experience in a startup or high-growth environment is a strong plus.
