JOB DESCRIPTION I JOB DETAILS Job Title Senior Resident-Obstetrics Gynecology Reporting Supervisor Director- Obstetrics Gynecology II JOB PURPOSE To ensure smooth operations of department III KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Core Responsibilities To effectively interface with patients attendants and to co-ordinate on all matters relating to To provide need based assistance in selection of type nature of medical consumables and equipment to be procured To practice evidence based medicine with awareness regarding patients proper evaluation and deciding adequate line of treatment Investigation- profile reports plan Treatment- details drug procurement Drug Allergies patient history To assist Consultants as per institution s guidelines while carrying out procedures like Hyterectomy Abscess Drainage Biopsy Cervix Cystectomy Colposcopy Tuboplasty Excision Laprotomy Myomectomy Suturing Suture Removals etc To timely coordinate with other specialties To keep abreast with latest research treatment techniques in the field of Obs Gynae To attend emergencies as per institution s protocol and to ensure the department is suitably equipped at all times To ensure optimum utilization of resources by him her and subordinates complaint redressal of patients ensure quality of treatment services sterilization and accuracy during the various diagnostics procedures and eliminate minimize errors therein To supervise train all nursing technical assistants of the department To ensure cost effectiveness of the operation of the department To be well groomed punctual adhere to company policies and practices To have complete orientation of QMS and EMS system of Hospital To have complete Awareness about Disaster Management Programme DMP of the hospital To comply with the service quality Process environmental occupational issues policies of the respective area To comply with patient safety policy To ensure safe utilization of equipments and proper waste disposal system IV KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS Measurable Deliverables Zero technical errors Patient s satisfaction Less than 2 complaints from patients V JOB REQUIREMENTS Minimum Qualifications M B B S MD Obs Gynae Experience Preferably with 2-4 or more years of experience Behavioural Skills Good interpersonal skills Man management skills High quality patient care Technical Skills Clinical Acumen Equipment Knowledge Language Skills English Hindi Punjabi VI KEY INTERACTIONS Key Internal Contacts Key External Contacts HOD Deputy Medical Superintendent Nursing Staff Consultants of various specialities Obs Gynae Support Staff All departments of hospital Patients Attendants Medical Representative
